The story begins in Japan. Toru Iwatani, the creator of the famous Pac-Man, perceived most of the favored games at the time as too violent. He wanted to develop something new, a game that would be devoid of violence and enjoyable for everyone, especially women. Toru did exceptionally well. He created an arcade game inspired by food and eating, which has captivated millions of people worldwide since 1980. With its inventive design, Pac-Man has affected popular culture more than any other video game.
